Hudson

Hudson, Lenawee County’s westernmost city, is located along M-34 near the junction of U.S. 127. The city was founded in 1883 and named for early settler Daniel Hudson.

In recent years, much of its historic downtown district of small businesses has been rehabilitated through a grant-funded preservation program. In addition to its downtown attractions, Hudson has an expanding industrial park, three major green parks, and a series of non-motorized, ADA – accessible trails.

History buffs will enjoy a trip to the Hudson Carnegie District Library, early 1900s décor at the William G. Thompson House Museum & Gardens, or the Civil War collection at the Hudson Museum downtown. Just outside downtown you can take a nightly stroll through the Lake Hudson Recreation Area (a State Park) and get lost in the first Dark Sky Preserve in the State of Michigan.
