New Year. New Logo. New Name.
Lenawee County’s marketing arm implements new brand
Adrian, MI - January 5, 2017 – The official destination marketing organization for Lenawee County, Michigan, is proud to announce the launch of a new brand identity. What was previously known as the Lenawee County Conference & Visitors Bureau will now be called Visit Lenawee, with the organization also implementing a new logo design and long-term vision.
This change comes out of a strategic plan that was developed last year, which resulted in identifying the need to simplify the name and begin telling the Lenawee County story through the value of its four-season culture and offerings.
“We are excited about the opportunities that come with rebranding our organization,” said Justin Gifford, Executive Director of Visit Lenawee. “This change will assist us in showcasing the seasonal stories of Lenawee County and all that we have to offer our visitors and local residents. We have made extensive efforts over the last year that have allowed us to change the culture here, and the implementation of our new brand is the final major piece of the puzzle.”
The new brand is in line with current trends and naming conventions within the tourism industry. The goal was a simplified name that is easy to remember for visitors and tour operators, and one that quickly identifies that the organization’s mission is destination marketing. The new logo provides a clean font style that is complemented by four icons that are symbolic of the four seasons that Lenawee County enjoys and will now more firmly associate itself with.
Gifford added: “This change, along with our new strategic plan, provides us a clear vision that will allow us to grow as an organization for many years to come. We have a pretty amazing place here that we call home. Some would say that it’s a bit “undiscovered,” but we’re looking forward to working with our local businesses and regional partners to expose more people to the unforgettable experiences that can be had.”
