As a historic stopping point along the five-day stagecoach trip from Chicago to Detroit, the Irish Hills was a destination dating back to the 19th century. While you are visiting the Irish Hills make sure Hidden Lake Gardens is an added stop on your itinerary; here you will explore the 755-acre botanical garden owned and operated by Michigan State University. Hidden Lake Gardens offers countless photo opportunities, breathtaking views and nearly 10 miles of hiking trails to allow our visitors a closer look at the beauty this Lenawee County gem provides.
A short distance down the road you will find Michigan International Speedway: a 1,400 – acre sporting and entertainment venue. Fans from around the globe flock to this venue each year for NASCAR and ARCA series races, Faster Horses Country Concert Festival, Tough Mudder and many other events.
