Fare & Pair: Inside the Winemaking Process presented by the River Raisin Wine Trail
Saturday, May 16 | 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Go beyond the glass and step into the craft behind every pour along the River Raisin Wine Trail. This spring experience invites guests to explore how wine is made—from the vineyard to the bottle—through behind-the-scenes experiences at four unique wineries.
Each stop along the trail highlights a key stage of winemaking. Flying Otter Vineyard & Winery will offer a self-guided vineyard experience featuring informational posts throughout approximately 100 rows of grapevines across 13 acres, highlighting the 12 main varieties grown, along with fun facts, harvest insights, and other vineyard details. Guests can explore at their own pace, either before or after their wine tasting & pairing, while learning the basics of growing grapes in our northern region and how the crop is harvested. Staff will be available in the vineyard to answer questions and share their expertise. Cherry Creek Winery will dive into the fermentation process, where juice begins its transformation into wine. Chateau Aeronautique Winery will explore how barrel aging shapes flavor, aroma, and complexity. At Pentamere Winery, guests will explore the bottling process, where the wine’s story comes full circle. Throughout the day, enjoy thoughtfully paired bites alongside tastings that complement each stage of the process.
Tickets are $30 per adult and include wine samples and food pairings at each of the four locations. Designated driver tickets are available for $12 and include food only.
