Taste the Irish Hills

 

The Taste of the Irish Hills is a two day tour opportunity, hosted by the Brooklyn-Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce, set for March 11 and 12.  This Friday and Saturday event covers 18 restaurants, in both Jackson, and Lenawee Counties, from the Napoleon Café, in Napoleon, to the Cruise In, near Tipton.  Participants can go to as many locations as they choose for a “taste” of the restaurant’s specialty.

 

“We encourage people to get a group of friends and make a day of it”, said Cindy Hubbell, Executive Director of the Brooklyn-Irish Hills Chamber. “It’s a great way to introduce people to the full atmosphere each restaurant provides, while sampling the great food our area has to offer.”

 

Tickets are $12 for adults, and $10 for children, age 12 and under. Adult participants will be given a 16-ounce Irish Hills pub-style glass if they purchase their tickets by March 10.

 

“If you bring the pub glass along with you on your tour, some restaurant owners will have drink specials to pour into it”, Hubbell said.

 

Participants will be registered in a grand prize drawing for a gift card to their favorite participating restaurant.

 

“You can’t beat $12 for two days of food and fun,“ Hubbell said.
